Love the Visuals!

Hi everyone!

While I know our wedding is a ways out still, my bridesmaids all know I'm quite the planner.  I have decided to use Pinterest to my advantage on this one.  I'm being pretty open with what they can wear, but I do have some guidelines, so I thought being able to give my girls a visual queue might help, hence the For my Bridesmaids Board.  I also edited the board's description so that the girls know that they don't need to buy any of those specific items, but these are just my ideas for them.  It's also nice if they DO like an item, they can just purchase it straight from the link.  Editing is SO IMPORTANT on Pinterest and I really try to make sure everything is working or makes sense when you are describing the item.

On the flip side...

I know the biggest negatives about that Pinterest is because it is SO FAR REACHING, a lot of your guests probably have Pinterest, so there is definitely the fear of them knowing what you'll do.  However, I like to think that with how much I have pinned, maybe not everyone will know what is going on.  Also, there are the secret boards.  This is such a great way to start to finalize your concepts!  What seems to be a little known fact, you can invite people to your secret boards and no ones pins will show in feeds, or show anywhere else  except your board, for that matter too.  So if you REALLY want to invite bridesmaids, parents, wedding planners, photogs, etc to the boards you can.  I also like the secret boards so I can pin ideas for gifts on there too ;)

I think the big take home here is to use Pinterest to help guide you, and realize it's OKAY if you don't have a Pinterest Perfect wedding.  It's okay not to have a completely DIY wedding; people have lives and doing what you can is awesome.  Again, the wedding is only the party, the marriage is forever :)

And on an unrelated note, we FINALLY have a date and venue.  It's nice that I can actually move forward with the planning :)
